I thought it would be a while after "Say Something" that we would hear a dope track from Timbaland. I guess not, but this is crazy, just might be better than his previous Drake assisted track. This is what the entire Shock Value II should have sounded like.
HipHopLeak.net presents Xtra Medium's mixtape Good Looks. XM who is an alum of Yale gets down on the photography, graphic design, production and rapping tip. This project features samples from Junior Mafia, Art of Noise and more. Good Looks also features Dubstep (one of my fav genres). GO!
Feel good music for thought? This selection is definitely different. A winner for sure.

Chris Barz is by far one of my favorite artist representing PG County. That's Maryland for the non DMV folks out there. The follow up to his mixtape Class{SICKZ] Out the DarKk, The Young Love EP features his production and rapping skills which measure up to pretty darn good. The EP was released on valentine's day. GO!
Absolutely love this......beat on "Do it all" that is. The rumored mixtape from Drake which is supposed to drop sometime here soon is appropriately titled No More Thank Yous. I have yet to come across a legit tracklist. However, I do know the track below is a feature. GO!
If you're in DC come and check out top local artists for the FLLRRREEEE!! Performances will include artists such as the Backyard Band, Phil Ade, RaTheMC, Black Cobain, K Beta and more. Wale and Raheem Devaughn are said to be stopping through as well.

Uber Indie Hustle- Kali X Termanology: Rockstar Video
Newest member to the Showoff movement Kali continues to move towards making his grand entrance. Statik Selektah and Termanology are two of my fav "underground" production and MC team. Support real hip-hop. Sidebar: Don't be alarmed by Termanology's hair..he's one of the realest, he's just having a little fun with the rockstar theme. GO! More dope tracks below the video.
Talk about flashback..but not really. I'm mad that I'm just now being put on to this group. Their musical style is a mix of soul, funk and what I like to call "smooth-electro." Formed in 2007, the group has released two EPs and a single, none of which are disappointing. The arrangements, synths, drums and melodies are just crazy. I know there's SOMETHING that you'll find you enjoy listening to. Their latest work, It'll Be Better is a full length album set to drop on July 20th. Get on youtube and itunes and check these guys out because it's not going to be long before they blow up. They've already performed at music festivals and opened up for MGMT and Drake. They also produced "Karaoke" a smash on October's VERY own Thank Me Later. I wouldn't be surprised if these dudes turned up in my S.O.S. Band Pandora Radio Station shoooooot. GO!
I'm REALLY starting to like these dudes. Their second album Vacancy is STILL coming soon. No release date has been set. Sidenote: Why'd they have to go on poor Tiger Woods in the video?? Nice concept overall.
Are they on some P!nk ish?? No but seriously they have changed over the years. I've followed them since "Move Ya Body" and I was one of those people waiting for their album The Musical which never dropped. Luckily as explained in the video below the twins will be releasing an EP, The Other Side to hit the net on August 3rd. Change or no change, I still like their music. I just wonder what other artists are out there burning to show their true musical persona....we WILL see.
Holl Up: Rick Ross X Kanye West: Live Fast, Die Young
Whenever a song drops and I have yet to post it, I'm going to rewind it back and post it in the "Holl Up" section. This track which will be featured on Teflon Don is just too crazy to pass up. I love Kanye's production on this one. It's very futuristic yet old school which is a very hard sound to capture. After Rozay dropped the Albert Anastasia mixtape I'm checkin for anything that leaks.
Props to the people over at Blindiforthekids. They're always keepin us up to date on the newest hip-hop, electro, soul and indi. Here is their latest musical compilation, BlindI Says Go July.
If you have yet to be informed, Phil Adé is one of the DMV's dopest up and coming MC's. He's made major waves thus far with his videos and random leaks, all of which people seem to appreciate. His second mixtape, The Letterman features artists Raheem DeVaugn, Tabi Bonney, Raekwon, Wale and more. The "Hollywood (remix)" might I add GOES. Hit the download button to get familiar and check out one of his latest videos "Borderline."
I guess you're supposed to listen to this when you're faded off Tequila? No but forreal, I second guessed this collaboration, but Minaj actually held it down and gave the song balance. If you have yet to hear it, it's out there; but what song of M.I.A.'s isn't? Anyway check out the latest from Maya. You can also catch her on this month's issue of FADER magazine. The album appropriately titled Maya is set to drop next week on July 13th.
Finally the long awaited mixtape from Hollyweerd, Edible Phat 2.0 has landed. In between time the quartet Dreamer, Tuki, Stago Lee and The Love Crusader have been getting lots of attention. It's about time the magazines and OTHER blogs found out about these guys. This time around their project features guests appearances from Joe Scudda, Pill, Big Pooh, Grip Plyaz and more.
