Yeeaahh buddy. Waiting for this guy's mixtape is like waiting for an album I swear. I have no idea what his sound has transformed into at this point. It's beyond us all that's for sure. I am feeling "Life of a Lover" though. For some reason the video is HILARIOUS to me. Anyway, if you would like to escape from the musical norm for a while, this one is for you. Just look at the cover. EPIC. GO!
Diggy goes in AGAIN, this time over Jay-Z's "Jigga what Jigga who." I like his movement, because he chooses the right songs at the right time to go on. So far there's been no foolishness from him which is a good look. GO!
I'm feelin the little "play time" montessori theme that everybody has going on in their videos these days, but what's up with the kids. B.o.B. and Snoop did just fine with the tree/car/building cut outs. This song goes in! I don't want to see kids in this video. Anyway check it out.
Check out the buzz single from Peter Rosenburg's Mixtape project. The Uprising Mixtape will feature various artists remaking classic Cypress Hill songs. Other artists include the LOX, Noreaga and Asher Roth to name a few.
I had to post this...it's the epitome. I kind of wished that Beyonce would have went INN though..Oh well maybe she didn't want to show off. Anyway, this past weekend the couple performed at the Coachella Arts and Music Festival in California. Why didn't I know this existed...welp I wouldn't have been able to go anyway. #FAIL. Other dope mentions who performed were B.o.B., Gorillaz, Miike Snow, Little Dragon, Zoe, Imogen Heap, P.O.S., Sia, Wale, MGMT, Flying Lotus and De La Soul. Sounds like fun.

Balance: We All In Mixtape
About a week ago I was unfamiliar with this dude, but after listening to THIS mixtape I know a bit. Balance, a Bay Area rapper brings it on this project. We should already know that it's official when DJ Ill Will and DJ Rockstar put their seal of approval on it. Production by Midi Mafia and guest appearances from Freeway and Fashawn make it even better. GO!!
This definitely isn't one of my favorite's from Usher. In fact the longer the song goes on the more you'll become confused. For those who don't know Robin Thicke wrote "Can You Handle It" off of Confessions so this isn't the first time they've teamed up. At first this song sounds like a pt 2 of "Can you Handle It" then out of nowhere the underbeat of what seems like "Shawty Swing My Way" overtakes the song. Then at the end it sounds like Tina Marie insisted that she have a part and this ballywho "Sho ya right" repeats itself. Somebody please do a dubstep or soul remix to the right away so I can enjoy it. Please AND Thank you
This is great. In case you don't know who Hayley Williams is, it's ole girl from the rock group Paramore. This single will be on The Adventures of Bobby Ray dropping April 27th. Mark your calendars. And is it me or is that "Run This Town" clap and duck sound in the beginning and backround??
Finally these guys dropped the video for "I said." I love the song and the visuals are crazy. The single is from their collaborative EP Conversations With Her. Support.
Wanda Sykes does a parody of Erykah Badu's "Window Seat." It's short, but quite funny.

Futuristic Lingo Mixtape
I know y'all are familiar with the boys Young Future and J Wess, because I've posted songs and webisodes here and there. For the first time, the two have linked up to create a mixtape. Collectively the two are called Futuristic Lingo, the same goes for the title of their mixtape. It's absolutely crazy. Nice beats and verses of course or else I wouldn't recommend it. GO!
Brutha is back. Now if only BET would bring the show around again....Anyway, "You Ain't the One" is a track that popped up-maybe it will be on the new album, maybe it won't- It's catchy though. Peep the video for "One Day on this Earth," the debut single from their upcoming album Vacancy.
Last summer I had the pleasure of meeting the man Cons. He was cool when I did a phone interview maddddd long ago, but in person he's really down to earth. Cons is one of the official rapper out here who don't get the respect that he deserves. He's always consistent with real music and hip-hop which I can appreciate. Asher Roth on the other hand is one I didn't fug with in the beginning, however this verse made me change my mind. Dope effort from both ends. Check it out.
I guess CB is still feelin wavy about people liking his verses on his mixtape, because he's giving rap another go. Of course TYGA delivers. The two are teaming up to release a special mixtape called Fan of a Fan. No word on when it's dropping. GO!
I've been seeing Pharrell around on the fashion scene, but it's been a minute since he hit us with some music. This song reminds me of a lost track from his album In My Mind. I fugs with him and The Neptunes' production but what I really want to see is a new N.E.R.D. album. Maybe, in the meantime check out "Despicable Me."
I'm soooo fuggin with J*Davey. This song was one of the first released from their X-Mas mixtape release Boudoir Synema: The Great Mistape. The video just now landed. and always its funky-interesting. Check it out.
DJ Replay of FreeSchool (the production team currently working with Kelis) went in on this mix. New and old songs of Kelis' are SLAYED in this mixtape. If you're not into electronic music then chill. However, if your musical taste is in the least bit diverse and you fuggs with Kelis, you'd appreciate this. Log-in takes 2 seconds...I was like "forreal??" just like you are, but it's quicker than quaker oats. PLUS! The mix includes snippets of four songs that will be on her upcoming album Flesh Tone. GO!
1. Handful (intro) 2. No Security (Crookers vs. Bart Bmore) 3. Acapella (David Guetta vs. Benny Banssi) 4. Bossy (Switch vs. Alan Braxe and Fred Falke) 5. 4th of July (Flesh Tone Album Snippet) 6. Grey Goose (Free School feat. Apl d ap vs. Stardust) 7. Milkshake (Mighty Fools vs. Major Lazer) 8. Get Along with You (Laidback Luke vs. Mstrkrft (Goldenchyld Blend)) 9. Home (Flesh Tone Album Snippet) 10. Caught Out There (Eric Prydz Blend) 11. Scream (Flesh Tone Album Snippet) 12. Lil Star (Linus Loves Remix) 13. 22nd Century (Flesh Tone Album Snippet)
Diversification. That's what life and this blog is about. Here are my favorite weird people MGMT. I don't know if I'm feeling "Flash Delirium" as much as their old tunes "Electric Feel" or "The Youth," but I can work with it-No DJ Quick- The single comes off of their upcoming album set to hit stores April 13th. GO!
When I first heard this song I was like "okay, Monae is back." Then I saw the video and was like, "GOT DOM MONAE IS BOK"-bubble eyes- She so was NOT playing when the camera turned on. I have so much more respect for her because she's consistent with her difference. She's never floated into the mainstream madness. She creates and delivers that's it. I tweeted about this jaunt and said she was the new James brown because those feet were GOING IN. see for yourself.
