I know you've been seeing a few posts about my dude Future and all of his dopeness. Well he and another rapper/friend J Wess have teamed up to do a project which is supposed to drop in February. In the meantime they are doing webisodes following their day to day activities in the studio, on the streets, taking care of biz and all that documentary style. CHECK EM OUT!!
Check out my dude B.o.B performing "Bet I Bust," a single from his upcoming mixtape titled May 25th. The project is set to hit the net next month. STAY TUNED!!
This dude is a bama.....noooo not a "bama" bama....but a bama representer per say. His down south beats and flow are quite alright. I might have to cop somethin.
Wow is all I can say. These performances were outstanding. The telethon which aired across multiple major television stations yesterday has raised 9.5 million dollars as of today. Performers included Alicia Keys, Coldplay, Bono, Mary J. Blige, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Jay-Z and more. Notable celebrities participated in hosting the telethon and answering phones. Artists were broadcasted from London, New York and Los Angeles. Very touching. If you missed it be sure to check it out on MTV.com and if you can donate by clicking the above image.
This earthquake is very serious. Artists and activists are doing whatever they can to contribute to the relief fund for Haiti. Most recently an album was put together to benefit the country. The initiative called "Download to Donate" is a compilation of artists including Linkin Park, Alanis Morissette, Lupe Fiasco, Kenna, The Dave Mathews Band and more. Below is the a single released to give people a taste of what the album sounds like. Visit Lupe Fiasco's website to get more info and to be directed to the donating site.
When does Musiq disappoint? Exactly. As of now, I haven't heard much talk of a new album. Being that this is a leak it probably won't be featured on an upcoming project. Until then enjoy this single.
Dido is such a great artist. Nice mellow music for sleeping, driving, chillin or thinking. I don't know about you guys but my Pandora radio doesn't consist only of hip-hop and R&B stations. No one is watching you on your phone if you want to; go ahead and add that N*Sync radio. I know I don't care regardless. I have an Eagles, Elton John and Patrice Rushen radio to name a few. Though by far my Dido radio is the best.
Man, I knew Kapps was going to do something dope for his video, but I didn't know it would be so classic. The throwback simplified concept is just crazy. Fans were able to get a snippet of "Humdrum Town" ft Jesse Boykins III on Theophilus' mixtape This Charming Mixtape, but here is the full version. Well worth listening to and seeing.
I know you guys missed this dude. One of the rockingnest DJ's in hip-hop. If not him, I know you missed the weird small voiced bleeps of Colin Munroe <<<< NO SARCAS. Hmmm that's one of my new sayings for 2010. If you don't know what it's short for Ya DED. Anyway, here is "So Close So Far," one of the acclaimed singles from 100 Proof: the Hangover, Selektah's latest project. The compilation is set to drop February 2nd.
It's bad enough that Haiti is a warn torn country stricken with poverty and crime. The earthquake that hit earlier this week added to the pain that many people are trying hard to turn into progression. Wyclef, more than anyone being a native of the country has done so much to contribute. Years ago he founded the Yele foundation to help his homeland.
Millions of dollars have been raised in relief efforts, but it's going to take so much more to build Haiti back up and beyond what it was. In the meantime check out Twista's verse on 911. On the track, he spits some facts about Chicago being built up by a Haitian man. See, we're not as different as we thought.
This one is different for Khalifa, still solid. If you haven't be sure to cop Deal or No Deal as well as Rubix Cube, Neako's newest mixtape. I've been hearing so much hoopla about Neako so I had to see what all the hype be bout. He is a nice producer and equally dope spitter. Check it out.
First of all if you've never been a fan of Little Brother Ya DED! The most recent in charge Big Pooh, also known as one half of the group is making noise with his latest mixtape The Purple Tape. For all of y'all dusty old heads who thinks he's jocking Raekwon KNOW DAT The Purple Tape is a collaborative between producer Black Milk and Pooh. A while back Milk released a beat tape featuring Prince sampled beats. As people always do, Pooh jumped on an oldie and tadahh. Must have....or at least a must mention.

Lupe Fiasco: I'm Beaming
Okay like a few weeks ago Lupe's new song "I'm Beaming" hit the blogosphere, but was snatched up by his record label accompanied by a plea from Lupe himself to listeners. Pretty much he asked everyone not to post or download the song because of all of his hard work. Forreal forreal people check yur fuggin camp and the people around you. It's no coincidence that people's ballywho is being leaked. There's shysty inner circle static going on. Anyway, Neptunes produced, the song is dope like you expected it would be.
I've decided that whenever, for whatever reason I am gone for more than a few days, I will explain via a phantom blog explanation. The picture is pretty self explanatory, but the reason I've been gone is school. College is the reason for my: absence. lackluster posts. anger. blogging motivation. (well kind of)
In the midst of being the poster boy for PETA (that boy look guuud), Mario is recording new songs for...maybe a new album? His latest effort D.N.A dropped last October, I doubt if he's going to have another release this year, but if he is, he's working with the right people. Here is a nice duet with Mario and singer/songwriter Marsha Ambrosius.
Side note: What ever happened to the other girl from Floetry? Either way Marsha seems to be doing "just fine X5 whooo" (Mary J. Blige voice)
I love Muhsinah...far more galactic than the rest of us. This video is short, but is quite grand in its explanation which is supposed to be concluded by....YOU. Awesome pictures and moods in this one, check it out.
Me & JBIII back in the day. Just kidding...not waaaaaayyyy back when. Anyway check out the video for "Itis." It dropped a few days ago and is actually one of my favorite songs off of The Beauty Created. I say that about all of the JBIII songs...oh well.
Take it to the Top in 2010: A Few Words of Inspiration
As soon as the calendar hits January 1st it seems like the previous year is old news. 2009? ooohhh that sounds so ollLLLddDD. 2008 hmmmm, 2007 ancient, 2006 OmG I wAs in HIgHSchOOL!! However 2010 sounds fresh, cool really. It's the beginning of a new era for many people and like the start of any year, 2010 is the perfect platform to renew goals and begin redirecting attention on what matters most.....[ ] Those brackets are for you to fill in cuz I don't know you like that! Whatever it is let this year be "on something." If you're still at the point where you wish you could do this and that or you're still looking at other people jealous of what they did and how far they've come do something about it. At the end of the day everyone is their own person.
INDIVIDUALS
Yeah, people, family and friends help a lot, but it's ourselves that help us the most. Take it to the top in 2010 people. Stop that lackluster behavior! Procrastination is a killer. You can do anything because EVERYTHING is not as far as it sems.
“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” -M.R.
