Yeah, CMJ has been over for more than a month now, but dope videos and music are still surfacing. No one keeps it moving like this guy. I can't wait for another mixtape to come out. Check out his performance of Humdrum Town at the Hypemachine Radio/Babelgum CMJ showcase. Ya boy JBIII is in the background on vocals yes!
"Humdrum Town"
Man, his performances are getting better and better. He's really stepping out of the box and going in. Check out "Ultraviolet." Both singles are on his mixtape; This Charming Mixtape
Yes! I don't know who's more excited about new J*Davey than me. The new EP is going to be called Boudoir Synema: The Great Mistape. IT will be available Dec. 25..what a great Christmas gift.
Man if only TLC was still going strong...This def sounds like something they would be on in the year 2009. Annndd it would only be the beginning, because you know they were always on some uber glactic stuff. Anyway, I don't know where this track came from. Somebody probably found it in the corner of the studio or something. It's still a bopper.
It's been a long time comin-Sam Cooke voice- No, but really its has been a minute since Kelis has released a single from an upcoming album. Yesterday via her twitter page @iamkelis, she released the debut single from her upcoming project. According to her website, Kelis's album is nearly done. She's signed a new deal and will be ready to release it some time soon here. The new track "Acapella" has a dance/techno feel so at this point who knows what direction the album is going in. Nonetheless it still sound like Kelis which is something her fans can appreciate.
Drake has some Canadian competition on deck. Well Element doesn't really sing so I guess he's beat. Anyway you know I love my Amsterdam beats. Check out the collaboration between FS and rising MC Element.
I'll admit at first I was like this dude is weird!! From the lyrics to the beats Danny! is just different. Image Lupe's flow (Not lyrical style or ability...just vocal tone) over the theme show to The Cosby's. That's what ya boy here is..at least this time around. Very eclectic. He's released mixtapes in the past and just put out his album Where Is Danny? for the FRRLLEEEEEEEE. Check it out!
The people or person over at Blindiforthekids keeps it rockin! Some of the songs may be pure foolywang, but there's always something on there that you like. Get some electro or something in your life. Who knows what the Eclecticuts are this time around. Besides this one looks safe..it has "the folks" on the front and back cover plus it's short and sweet with only 10 tracks.
Ain't heard these dudes together in a minute, besides Common and Ye on the Kid Cudi jaunt. Anyway, they went in as expected maybe they'll get like Young Money and release a compilation sometime soon here. The track "Whatever You Want" features Kanye, John Legend, Big Sean & Kid Cudi...enjoy.
Clearly there's a remix festival going on with Jesse Boykins' music from his first album. Not that its a bad thing..some just need to take a chill pill. Producer Daru however gets a thumbs up. 1) He remixed my fav JB3 song 2) It's craaaaze. I wonder what JB3 is going to do next. Take notice people! Hit the link to listen and download.
Man, these Shock Value II songs are laking left and right. Hopefully people still support the project. Here is the latest titled "Undertow." It's pretty much "Apologize" part II. "Crazy Girl" features Justin Timberlake..it's the usual banger. I'm glad Timbo did another one, the versatility of Shock Value is still there.
A. Keys Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart Video + Dreaming
Check out the video and hit the link to hear the an exclusive leak titled "Dreaming." Very Songs in A Minorish. This is the type if stuff I've been looking for to make a comeback!
If you haven't heard the news legendary rapper Rakim is gearing up to blaze the scene yet again. Honestly I don't remember hip-hop when he was shutting it down, but it's inscribed to just know that he was. Now the 80's babies can re-witness what everyone was buzzing about...maybe. Seventh Seal is Rakim's first album in 10 years..that's IF it drops before the fourth quarter is over. When the single and album drops expect greatness people.
Online beat making/hip-hop battling music community Louis Den (catering to producers, rappers and music lovers in Britain and Denmark) presents Behind Closed Doors Vol. 2. The magazine DVD gives viewers an inside look at the beat making process though interviews and beat sessions. The upcoming volume will feature producers SirOJ, Beatbutcha, FS Green and more. The premiere documentary which ran 50 mins also included an exclusive beat tape. It just doesn't get any better than dutch beats! Check out the trailer for vol. 2 up top. The DVD's will be available for purchase in December.
The site also hosts cyphers. It's so heavy they created a battling league. Louis Den Beat Cypher 07 took place a few weeks ago and it went a little something like this. Peep the video above. Where else will you find rappers battling over beats like this? It's crazy to see how hip-hop differs overseas. If you're a bit confused about what Louis Den is check out the website and a brief history presented in the form of a video of course.
Check out the latest from LeToya. I'm really glad to see the video finally. Hopefully "Regret" will be a big single for her, it's been blowing up the radio so we'll see.
This song is by far my favorite from Dirty Money. The video is straight aside from Diddy doing the crybaby at the end of Dawn's verse....

Mad Stalley - The Autobiography Video
GFC NY artist Stalley and Creative Control present the title track from his latest mixtape The Autobiography. The up and coming artist hails from Massillon Ohio and has been recognized by a bundle of sites including XXL.com. If you're into the poetic jazzy/hip-hop/truth/harmonious stuff Mad Stalley is your man. Thumbs up from me!
I guess all the hoopla was actually about something. We knew he was coming back, but when was the question...Anyway "I Get it In" is Omarion's new single from his upcoming project and what better way to create a ripple than to smack Gucci on da tracckkk? Hopefully O can turn around and produce a good album since that Face Off jaunt with Bow Wow was a little rocky.
This year revealing album art prior to a release has obviously become a trend. I guess it does add a bit of excitement to the anticipation. Here is A. Keys' cover for her upcoming album. Since it's called The Element of Freedom YOU can't say anything about it cuz "she can do whatever she liiike" (T.I. Voice). BOW! Dec 15th! Check out what she had to say about her new album and the concept behind the second single, "Try sleeping with a Broken Heart."
These guys remain under the radar but still manage to keep the blogosphere buzzin. Atlanta natives Hollyweerd introduced themselves to the music scene with "Have you ever made love to a weirdo (which was uber dope)." Now they're continuing the movement with "We Dope." Their third mixtape project is to be named The Mandatory Mandate. If you're in ATL look out for these ones why don't cha?! What other group has a dude who can say he's nice on the sax? Right. Also if you don't have Edible Phat or Candy for Kleptos make sure u pick up the slack!
Justin Timberlake's Step brother (just kidding)...fresh faced artist Jared Evan is making some major waves in music. In the midst of inking a deal with Zone 4/Interscope records he landed a spot on the More than a Game soundtrack. The track "Frozen" can also be found on Radio Inside My Head his debut mixtape. His style is described as a mix between hip-hop, elctro and funk. Check out the rapper/singer and see what he's talkin' bout.
In my opinion The Lox are one of the best hip-hop groups in the game. Period. Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch individually are solid MC's. They're all still here doing their thizzles and the latest from Louch surfaced last week. The track "Everyday" was produced by Pete Rock so you already know it's stamped. This song takes me back to when I used to listen to "On the Road Again" every Tuesday and Thursday on my way to class...wait that was last year. Anyway, check it out.
The rocker bang worthy group the Kickdrums are here with one of their latest installments, "Things Work Out." The video shows how the smallest actions or lack of actions thereof can change something as valuable as a life. Check it out. Oh yea shouts out to Three 21 Media and RiK Cordero who directed the video!!
It's Sunday....the sabbath. Right. What better way to relax than a nice neo mix. Check out the latest from producer Zo! ....Just visiting Too is a short, soulful, jazzy/part instrumental compilation of music featuring what else but more musicians. See the artists on the mixtape cover. Go ahead broaden your horizons!
I guess "Empire State of Mind" has that "A Milli" factor. I'm guessing by the end of next month there will be 50 more remixes of Jay's song reppin everything from cities to streets. Trina is the third artist I've heard twist the song up and pay homage to a stomping ground different than NY. Check out what Trina, Mona Lisa and some other feez (females) had to say about the 305.
Back Track: Mick Boogie & Terry Urban Present Wild Young Heartbreaks
Kanye's 808s and Heartbreak has been remixed 1000 times over and most renditions are dope, because the original is solid. One of the most recent remixes blends the funky female group The Noisettes & Kanye West. Remix masters Mick Boogie and Terry Urban put together the remix project. Take a gander!
Call me weird, but if you do know that there's lots of other people who agree with what I'm saying. The original Sims game has some of the most mellow and emotional tunes you will ever hear. Not when your sims are running around in the house peeing on themselves in the living room. Not when you're selecting cheap furniture nor when you're creating a family. It's in the building mode when the mysterious music comes on that gets you hooked to the game. They say classical music helps you think and what is the most complicated thing to ponder about in this game? Building the biggest craziest house with the money that you got from the cheat code. All jokes aside the music really is wonderful in my opinion. If "Building Mode" 2, 4 or 5 happened to come on in your ipod you would think that you'd stepped into an auditorium where someone was composing a theatrical score. No ampin' included. The songs in The Sims 1 were written by Jerry Martin and Marc Russo, but never released separately. That's why we always went running back to the game, not only for the chance to live in the world you always wanted but to hear a few songs that would take you there (No Donnie Klang).
The latest video from Young Dro "I Don't Know Y'all" happens to be so hood I was compelled to put an image of a corner store INSTEAD of him...I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It's kind of a mini movie and the graphics are super dope, but this one isn't bleeped out and there's like 28 + KIDS giggin'....IDK about that. On top of that there's a rusty lady acting like Michael Jackson for split second and a drunk man squirming in the street...hmmmmm.
Phil Ade is a young rapper/singer reigning from Maryland who is stirring up a lot of buzz in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) and Beyond. He recently performed along side Cypress Hill earning some extra respect. Like many artists, he started out singing in church. At the top of this year he was introduced to Raheem DeVaughn and signed to his 368 Music Group, a DC based music label. Watch out for the kid...lowkey DC is coming up. Peep the video for "Hollywood", a single from his debut mixtape Starting on JV which dropped a few months back. The video was directed by Tabi Bonney.
I'll admit that the song is still growing on me, but the black and white video gave it a big push. It's a pretty dope concept. I like how they didn't over do it and take away from the song. Also, it's good to see Rihanna back. I'm guessing that this album is going to be on a whole 'nother level...being that it's rated R and all....Check out the video for "Wait Your Turn." People...the wait is ova!!
Where are my favorite people at?? I know it's old but I just discovered that I really really like "Dancehall" off of the Land of the Lost mixtape which happens to be GOLDEN. Hopefully J*Davey will be putting out some more new stuff soon cuz they're pretty much the best. Check out their special halloween performance from last year. It's kinda spooookyy...

Wiz Khalifa - Burn After Rolling Mixtape
I know we've posted news about Khalifa's new album Deal or No Deal, though before that drops, he's decided to release yet another mixtape. I'm sure Burn After Rolling will be another masterpiece.....or something close to it. Hit the link to listen or download his tape.
Here's yet another release from Timbaland's Shock Value II. It showcases the sound of the original shock value while putting Drake back into his So Far Gone mode. It's been a minute since we've heard him without Wayne and 'nem. So far it's my favorite track...let's see what else Timbo got!
