  A.Keys Album News!!!

Dannng that pic is a throwback!! Remember that Alicia?? Anyway, we missed Flux Friday like three times. This is getting ridiculous....welp it doesn't matter, because this here album makes up for everything. As we all know Alicia Keys is preparing to drop her fourth studio album. The release date December 1st and title The Element of Freedom has just been released. The album drop date is said to be tied to World Aids Day. Being that she is the ambassador of Keep A Child Alive, I wouldn't be surprised if she contributed some of her album sales to the cause. Maybe??

Speaking of such, Alicia's annual Black Ball which raises money for the organization is set to take place on October 15th in NYC.

Amerie - Heard 'Em All Video

Finally Amerie is back. I liked her first single "Why are you," but it's good to see that song wasn't just buzz. This video is actually pretty dope. The concept of her coming back to life is very fitting. This is the second single off In Love and War. Forreal forreal Amerie never fails to put out good music there's just stuff going on behind the scenes all the time. Nonetheless, support the girl!

  Three 6 Mafia-Ugh Ugh Ugh

I don't know about the rest of the midwest, but in the AP we're supporters of down south music. Three 6, Boosie, Webbie all of that. At least on the northside. You can't go wrong with these guys if your stereo system in your car is right. Anyway, the song "Ugh Ugh Ugh" actually came out a minute ago, but the video is just arriving. I bet Crunchy Black is just a bit mad he left the group.....Check it out.

Michael Jackson This is It Trailor

The film This is It is basically a documentary of his final days planning and rehearsing for the This Is It tour. I think it's going to be really interesting to see. It's also going to be interesting to see how many people are actually going to get to peep it. It'll only be in theaters for two weeks. I don't doubt that VH1 will show it in a few months. Don't Bootleg this people!!

In the meantime check out one of my fav MJ songs.

  Jermaine Paul-Airplane

If you're unfamiliar with Jermaine Paul youtube some live A. Keys performances and there you'll see ya boy in the background. He's been lending his vocals behind the scenes for a minute, but I guess he's finally going solo. When I saw him live he was on some John mayor ish, so this is different. I like it though.

  Brother Ali Drops Us

Brother Ali, Minnesota Repper, is dropping a new album next week. If you live in Minnesota then you probably already saw or will see a huge poster outside of Fifth Element advertising his project. Anyway the album entitled Us includes features from Freeway, Joell ortiz, Chuck D and Stokley Williams. It will hit stores September 22nd.

  Sidebar Sounds-LeToya Luckett Lady Love

I had a feeling that LeToya's new album was going to be good, but it's even better than I expected! I never doubted her ability because I still listen to her first album but Lady Love is extraordinaryyyy. If you haven't heard it yet check it out on imeem. Make sure you go out and purchase it to support her. She's really bringing R&B back. It's kind of bogus that we never knew how much of a great singer she was when she was in Destiny's Child. Well, I guess we know now. Cop it!!!

  Video Fab: Million Dollar Bill
The official music video for Whitney Houston's single "Million Dollar Bill" is here! Whitney is looking mighty fabulous and once again, we must say, we are glad she is back.. Loving the club concept and the little text message sequence, oh and the dollar bills flying around ain't hurting Whitney none at all, but for Bobby? That's a different story... Peep the vid below & enjoy the "legendary voice"...

Janet Jackson Dances for Michael at the VMA's

Dang amongst all of the foolywang that took place at the VMAs, people failed to highlight the best moments. Like I said I didn't see the full awards show, but this performance that Janet Jackson did for her brother is fantastic. At the end you can see that she's still sad, but who wouldn't be. Check out the video.

New Single From A. Keys- Doesn't Mean Anything
Right at the halfway point A.Keys released her new single "Doesn't Mean Anything," which was originally slated to drop on the 30th of this month. Who can complain about that? Right. Anyway, the song is the typical A. Keys...sounds like something off of As I Am. However I have a feeling that the new album isn't going to sound anything like this single. She's gonna surprise us AGAINNN.  "Doesn't Mean Anything" is to the new album as "Caged Bird" is to Songs in A Minor. It's a nice song but not the doopppest one. I still love it though.

AK47...Killin' em dead with the music!!

A. Keys also hit up the Today Show and 106&Park today. Peep the video

Also, Alicia's new single "Doesn't Mean Anything" which is set to hit the radio on September 30th.

In the maantime peep some of her other VMA performances.

New Kid Cudi Man on the Moon Album Trailers

Even though the album was pushed back I think Cudi is making a nice effort to keep people informed of the hotness. I've read a few reviews of his album and from the sounds of it, Man on the Moon is gonna be GaLaCTiC!!! The album art is really dope. I like how they actually merged the moon on this man's head...craaazzee. Be sure to cop this one on the 15th.

Late Night Listen The Moments: Love on a Two Way Street

Man I was determined to find it. "Love on a Two Way Street" by The Moments is the song that Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind" AAANNNDDD Brooke Hogan's "Love You Hate You" sample from. Enojy!

Jay-Z ft Alicia Keys - Empire State of Mind

Woah woah woah!! First....ANEETHING worthy that has to do with A.Keys is going on this here blog KNOW DAT! Anyways let's discuss this new track. "Empire State of Mind" is from Jay-Z's latest album The Blueprint 3 slated to hit stores on September 11th. I'm guessing that it'll be so great people won't just remember the tragedy that took place 8 years ago.

Maybe, I don't know.

I'm just glad that Jay-Z's back. He always sets the bar when music and hip-hop isn't where it should be. Now if you know music like Uber Flux you'll recognize the sample on this track was also used by Brooke Hogan for her song "Love you hate you." You'll also feel a bit familiar with the title because Alicia keys, Rakim & Nas collaborated on the remix of "New York State of Mind" back in the day. Either way both especially this one is crazy! be sure to cop The Blueprint 3.....everyone else is doing it..

In actuality Izza Kizza is one of my favorite rappers. He's very creative and doesn't sound like anyone out here. I'm just wondering when he's going to drop an album. If you haven't already, download Kizzaland AND The Wizard of Iz and get to know the man. In the meantime check out "Runnin'" the latest single that he dropped.
