Flux Friday: Fantasia-This is me Flux Friday is where we post pretty much anything we feel like. Flux of course means change, so fridays will be a change from music. Well sometimes, because we love music too much to count it out. Anyway, today I came across an old favorite by Fantasia. She needs to get back with Missy ASAP. Their work always comes out better than nice.

Muhsinah - The Oscillations :Square (Digital Exclusive)
"If you ain't up on game," get there. I'll admit that somebody just put me on Muhsinah. She's a DC native but her sound is in my idea international. Def the hip-hop Amsterdam sound if you're familiar. Muhsinah's music is a fusion of neo-soul, electronica and hip-hop, that's just me. No telling what she explains her sound as, probably not that; something better explained. Either way I love it and her new EP is fresh out, so peep it.
Below is a track "NetKnot" from her EP titled Daybreak released last year.
Let the Beat Build was actually produced a few months ago, but real music is always relevant right? Yea, anyway an up and coming rapper by the name of Nyle created his own rendition of Wayne's song using live vocals and instrumentation. In my idea, this one has much more personality.
The video, shot by Last Pictures was done in one take, simultaneously recording the sound and visual. So before you say yay or nay think about how many times you may have messed up a rhyme, hit the wrong ivory or choked on one of the whoaa whoaas before getting it right.
Making His BandOkay, it's a known fact that I love to watch shows that follow human subjects revealing things that the normal person be a little sheepish about. With that said there's not many normal people in this world, because these shows seem to be the only one's on TV. Nonetheless I watch them with glee. For example, the Real World, True Life and pretty much all reality/competition type shows.
Though what I most like is Making the Band, because it meshes the visual of the human condition along with a behind the scenes look at making music. Great right? yea, anyway I feel that I just discovered one of my new favorite shows. That's right you guessed it, none other than MTV's Making His Band. For once I think that this show is going to highlight individual talent as opposed to drama. Hmmm we'll see...or better yet we'll listen.
MJB = AT&T? Naw MJB = D.O.P.E.
Mary J. Blige never stays gone for too long...am I right? Of course. Whether critics perceive her efforts as aite or LIKE DAT, she's always there. She never fails to resurface on time. Her new album is scheduled to drop fourth quarter of this year and in an effort to generate a lil lil buzz she's teamed up with AT&T to promote her music and their messages....text messages that is.
Her new song "The One" is featured in the commercial.
